We also have a particular expertise working with clients and their lawyers involved in complex litigation matters. We deliver independent, defensible opinions of value across a range of contexts, including shareholder disputes, statutory appraisal actions, fairness and solvency opinions, professional standards and processes, and tax-related valuations. Our analyses are supported by rigorous financial modeling, market evidence, and expert testimony experience, ensuring credibility and precision in the most demanding forums. With experience in over 50 cases, we are experts in report writing, depositions, exhibit preparation, and court testimony. Our opinions have been accepted throughout the country.

Meet the Team

  • Murray Beach

    President

    With 46 years of experience in investment banking and financial analysis, Mr. Beach is a trusted expert in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), business valuations, and litigation support. Throughout Mr. Beach’s career, he led over 200 M&A and financing transactions, including complex cross-border deals, and provided expert testimony in high-profile cases involving fairness opinions, company valuations, and damages related to breach of contract and fraud. As an expert in litigation, Mr. Beach has testified in Federal and State Courts, helping to resolve complex financial and business matters with credibility and precision. Much of Mr. Beach’s expert work has been before the Delaware Chancery Court, but also includes experience in multiple Federal, Bankruptcy, and over 10 State Courts. Mr. Beach testified on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants as well as served as an independent expert appointed by the Court. He has worked for clients in industries ranging from technology, online businesses, artificial intelligence, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and consumer products.

    Mr. Beach holds an AB in History from Harvard University and a Masters in Business Administration from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

    Mr. Beach is an avid sailor, competing in numerous races to and from Bermuda, including completing the race solo twice.

  • Patricia Palocz

    Managing Director

    Ms. Palocz is a Managing Director at Business Consulting Group. Ms. Palocz has over thirty years of experience in valuing businesses and in negotiating mergers and acquisitions, financings, strategic alliances, and joint ventures. Prior to joining Business Consulting Group, Ms. Palocz was a Vice President and Founder of Boston Corporate Finance, Inc., a boutique investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions and fundraising for mid-market companies. Prior to joining Boston Corporate Finance, Ms. Palocz was a Director of Advest Capital, Inc. and was responsible for establishing a buyout fund to make corporate acquisitions. Before joining Advest Capital, Ms. Palocz was a Director in Advest, Inc.’s Investment Banking Group. Before joining Advest, Inc., Ms. Palocz was a Commercial Lending Officer at Bank of New England and an Account Officer in Citicorp’s International Investment Management Group.

    Ms. Palocz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Latin American Studies from Cornell University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

    Ms. Palocz is fluent in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Hungarian and has lived in Europe and South America.

  • Alex Beach

    Senior Associate

    Mr. Beach is a Senior Associate at Business Consulting Group. He specializes in business valuation, financial analysis, and transaction advisory, with experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions, and strategic corporate initiatives. Since joining the firm, Mr. Beach has worked on a range of engagements involving complex valuation analyses, capital structure assessments, and financial modeling across multiple industries.

    Before joining Business Consulting Group, Mr. Beach held several roles at Chi-X Asia Pacific, which was acquired by CBOE Global Markets. He most recently served as Director of Strategy and Business, where he focused on strategic initiatives and market development of its alternative low-latency trading exchange technology. Earlier, as a Business Analyst for the company based in Hong Kong, he supported corporate strategy efforts.

    Mr. Beach holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College with a double major in Economics and East Asian Studies, with a concentration in Mandarin Chinese.

    Mr. Beach is a passionate marathon runner, having achieved a personal best in the 2026 Boston Marathon of 2hrs and 24min. He continues to train and compete as an elite-level runner.
